This time I gave some thought to a few additions again. Enough of getting lost in the details: How could the start for new users be improved? What requests have I already received? Which discussions did I have recently, and how could I improve something for them? This is the result. It does not look like much, but the new Pages content type in particular was a challenge. A good balance between new and not going too far. Not anchoring too many things that cannot be changed afterwards. Finding a first step.

I hope you find something for yourself in this new version as well. Let me know if you have requests.

Added

  • A small content onboarding for new Realms: It introduces the basic features: create two people, connect them, see how the whole thing looks in the World Graph, and create a character sheet for one of them. That way you get to know a few areas while playing.
  • Print views: A little different depending on the content type, but as efficient as possible, so you can carry all the content you need beyond the digital world. Fields that are irrelevant to the outside world are not printed.
  • The new Pages content type: Create pages with a dynamic composition of fields. Character sheets, handouts, and much more. As standalone pages or as attached pages to World Entities. By creating your own templates, the design space is practically unlimited.
  • The MCP server is live: The MCP server announced in 1.3.0 is now reachable. Integrating Atlavium into your AI agent is possible without using AI features in Atlavium itself.
  • Questions in the global search: The global search can now also run simple questions to assess search results.
  • Rating function in the search: The global search now has a rating function that helps me improve the search further, as anonymously as possible.
  • Excerpts in Keeper sources: The Keeper now shows, in the sources he uses, the excerpts of a content type that were relevant for that source. This helps especially with long documents.
  • Hint in the Markdown editor: There is now a small hint when the name of a piece of content is also used as an H1 heading in Markdown and is therefore displayed twice. Especially in print views, this stands out.
  • Synonyms for the search: Synonyms can now be switched on manually in the global search.

Changed

  • Large documents split for search: Large documents are split into smaller parts in the background and optimized for search with summaries.
  • Calendar cache optimized: A small optimization of the calendar cache, so it becomes a bit more fault-tolerant in the calculation before it discards the cache and has to recalculate.
  • Search activity more visible: The global search (Ctrl + K) now shows more clearly when it is active after your input.

Fixed

  • The command palette no longer hid its loader when things took a while.
  • In 1.5.0, the settings were unified. As a result, facts between two entities were only allowed to be 35 characters long. That is now fixed.
  • Saved conversations could get a bit jumbled when reopened. The ordering should now always stay the same.
  • Moderation within conversations could sometimes lead to errors that looked like you had made a mistake. Moderation is now more fault-tolerant and repeats checks instead of simply aborting on one-off errors.
  • Some form fields were still arranged quite chaotically, shifted by a few pixels. Wherever I stumbled over them, I fixed them sustainably instead of putting a band-aid on them.

In your Realm's settings, you can now create common abbreviations, synonyms, and similar terms for the same thing in your Realm, and improve your search results with them. If you search for something that is known by different names in your content, for example because it is called differently in two villages, you no longer have to use both terms in the search every time. The search is then automatically expanded a little when something matches these synonyms.

In the global search, you have to switch these synonyms on manually if you want to use them. The Keeper switches them on all by himself when he needs them. You can, of course, also tell him to.

The MCP server

I announced it a while ago, now it is time. I have switched on the MCP server on an experimental basis. This gives you the option of integrating your content into an AI agent of your choice. For the nerds: The MCP version used is 2026-07-28, the latest version.

The MCP server is reachable at https://app.atlavium.com/mcp. Your agent must support the latest version of the protocol.

You will have some tools to choose from at the start, read-only. Basically, they are mostly searches and ways to load content. What you can do with them is work on your content together with your AI agent. You can have all your content retrieved and create new content with your AI agent, which you then have to create manually, though.

The MCP server is currently available to all users without restrictions. Of course, you have to log in when you set up the server. Only Realms you have access to can be retrieved.
