A Realm is not a public wiki

Creating content does not publish your Realm as a public website. Sharing, collaboration and public reading are separate actions that you choose yourself.

Sharing really does hand content over

When someone imports your content into their Realm, it is there after sharing ends. You can stop further updates, but you cannot delete copies they have already imported.

The Keeper and data processing

You can organize your Realm without talking to the Keeper. Search and running the app still involve processing data in the background. The privacy notice explains this, along with data processing for AI features and troubleshooting.

Take your world with you in an open package

Compendium export lets you download the contents of your Realms. The package contains text, images and connections between your entries. Calendars and the saved template versions of Pages and Profiles are included, too.

Account settings and administrative data are in the app. The package may also contain hidden Page fields. Check its contents before sharing it. Importing it back into Atlavium is not available yet.

Read the privacy policy and terms

You can find the privacy policy, terms of use and AI usage notice in the app. The support page also has a private email contact for questions about your data. Personal details can stay out of public Discord conversations.

Public reading

A Realm is private by default. If the Owner enables public reading, anyone with the link can read the saved content without an account. Editing, personal areas, the Keeper, exports and management are closed. Secret Markdown blocks are removed before output.

The public view uses the same current saved state, not a separate copy. Turning public reading off stops future access, but content already delivered to a browser cannot be recalled. Sharing and collaboration are separate decisions.

Search-engine indexing is a separate decision. When it is enabled, the public view may appear in search results. Search engines decide when to add or remove pages. Turning it off stops future access; pages already indexed or cached may remain visible for a time.

Collaboration in a Realm

The Owner invites accounts from their Fellowship as Authors or Readers. Invited people can see the Realm and its content only after accepting. Authors can edit content, Readers can read it. Members read the entire Canon, including secret blocks; personal conversations and drafts stay private. The app shows the account's display name, not the private email address. Management, the Keeper and a full export belong to the Owner.

Removing a member ends their access. The saved Canon and independent copies are not deleted. Collaboration is not public reading and does not hand content to third parties.
