Experimental

Not every handout needs to start as an empty table.

Pages and Profiles give recurring content a consistent shape. Combine text, values and references to other content in your Realm.

A Page stands on its own

A handout, quest briefing or encounter sheet can exist as a standalone Page in the Compendium. It has its own title and place in your organization. Its template defines the fields and sections you fill in.

A Profile belongs to a World Entity.

A Profile adds details to a World Entity, such as your character. Use it to record their occupation, goals or game values. Their name, type and connections still belong to the World Entity.

Let the template follow your content

Use a starter template or create your own. Fullscreen mode gives you room for the design, its outline and the field properties. Arrange text, numbers, lists, checkboxes and images in rows and columns. Undo and redo let you try changes.

My own character sheets prompted this: in the next Markdown document, a field would be missing again or the order had changed. I wanted to be able to rely on where the information was.

Existing Pages and Profiles keep their layout.

When you change a template, existing Pages and Profiles keep their previous layout. Create a new Page or Profile from the template to use the new design.

New Realms include the revised starter templates. Existing Realms keep your previous templates, which you can change in the builder.

Fill in, share and print

Try filling in and reading your template in the builder. There is a screen view, a compact preview and a print view. Check how long text and empty fields look, too. Use your browser to print the result or save a PDF.

The template sets which fields appear in search and when sharing. Review the preview before you share. Your own Compendium export also includes saved fields that you have hidden or excluded from sharing.

Character sheets, yes. Automated rules, no.

Use a Profile to design and fill in a character sheet. Atlavium does not calculate values, rolls or combat for you. Pages and Profiles are still experimental and are being developed further.

A home for your Realm

There’s already room for your first story.

Create your first Realm, add two characters and record what connects them. Your Atlavium can grow with your stories. Compendium features will remain free within your granted allowances.
