Version 1.5.0 is a small potpourri from many corners of Atlavium. The Keeper now follows up when a request is ambiguous, the extended search lets you page through complete result lists, and image selection, the World Graph, calendars, and forms got the polish in several places that they had earned.
Sleep, of course, continues to be overrated. Especially when you are in the flow and one small improvement reliably leads to the next. This version therefore collects both visible additions and some of the unassuming fixes that make the difference in everyday use.
Added
- When sharing, the Realm selector now also shows the preview image of each Realm. When several Realms have similar names, that helps more than a memory that is clocking out for the day.
- The Keeper can now ask follow-up questions with selectable answers when a request is unclear, and then continue the research.
- The extended search now pages through complete result lists. The first 100 hits are no longer the end of the world.
- The image picker for Whiteboard maps and backgrounds was rebuilt and shows the selected image much better. The image search for embedding into Whiteboards and Markdown now uses the same, more reliable flow.
Changed
- For Realm facts and World Events in the settings, you no longer have to assign technical slug fields yourself. Atlavium creates them in the background and makes sure they stay unique.
- The World Graph interface gives the graph itself more room. Fullscreen mode now offers complete navigation, and built-in help explains better how to read the graph.
- World Graph nodes now show the matching content icon in addition to their color. Nobody has to sort by color dots alone anymore.
- Tables now show a proper loading bar when changing pages, editing, and similar actions, so it stays visible that something is happening.
- The automatic search now waits a short moment longer after your input. You can type in peace without triggering a new search with every letter.
- The names of categories, entity types, Markdown templates, event categories, World Event kinds, AI reminders, and AI text tools are now unified and limited to 35 characters.
- Forms have become more consistent in spacing, headings, and select fields. The form chaos is hopefully a little smaller because of it.
- Input errors are now shown in forms more consistently and closer to the affected field, instead of playing a red question mark somewhere in the background.
- The Keeper can now better classify adult roleplaying content and narrated violence in private Realms. Your last fight against will-o'-the-wisps no longer has to disappear from the conversation automatically; disallowed content is still blocked.
Fixed
- Select boxes sometimes showed internal links even though only the actual content belongs there.
- Some search fields still loaded the entire table contents when opened for the first time. Now only the hits that are actually needed are loaded.
- More search fields are now more fault-tolerant and handle small typos better.
- In the calendar configuration, changing the order of months and weekdays works again.
- In the calendar configuration, creating eras works again.
- The visualization in the lifecycle of settings was partly broken and now works more reliably again.
- Whiteboards now show the right colors for content markers instead of a similar but wrong shade.
- The World Graph shows the right colors again outside mobile mode as well.
- Categories can be created directly within documents, images, and Whiteboards again.
- The Keeper occasionally skipped saved reminder facts. If you have stored, say, the name of your play group, he should now know it without first searching your documents for it.
- The automatic grid in the Whiteboard sometimes lay over inserted drawings and markers. That is now fixed.
When the Keeper follows up
With a growing amount of content, even a simple question eventually becomes ambiguous. You might know exactly which Alara you mean, but your Realm has two more people with that name. The Keeper should not guess in such a moment.
After checking the relevant content, he can now request a detail clarification. He asks one or more concrete questions and suggests matching answers. You pick one of them or write your own answer. That way the decision stays with you, and the Keeper gets exactly the information that was still missing in the request.
The follow-up questions belong to the original request. After your answer, the Keeper continues his research instead of turning it into a new, loose conversation. For that continuation, his research budget is reset, so the clarification does not eat up the subsequent search. A confused Keeper may take detours; he just should not end up in front of a half-finished research and claim that was intentional.
The questions and answers stay visible in the conversation. Afterwards you can still see what the answer was allowed to build on, and find the related activities and sources. What becomes Canon in your Realm is, of course, still your decision.
