Version 1.0.0 is here – and it is the public release of Chronicle Keeper. After a full rebuild, your realm gets a clearer home for its content, connections, and the stories that happen around the table.

New

  • The Compendium as your shared library: It brings together the content that belongs directly to your Realm: Documents, Images, World Atlas entries such as characters, places, and factions, Campaigns, Quests, handouts, lore, and Whiteboards. Folders, categories, and tags keep even a long chronicle easy to search.
  • Your own types, colours, and icons: Shape World Entities and categories around your Realm instead of squeezing your ideas into a fixed schema.
  • A fully configurable Realm Calendar: Define months, weekdays, epochs, and Leap Days. Your moon's name, cycle, and starting offset set the right moon phase too – because a wandering full moon can matter a lot.
  • Sessions for the real game night: Plan a Session, keep an agenda and recap, and connect it to knowledge in your Compendium. Sessions deliberately sit next to the Realm, because they tell the story of your time at the table.
  • Campaigns and Quests with tasks: Organise adventure arcs, single Quests, and their tasks directly in the Compendium.
  • The World Graph: Record current Relationships and historical World Events directly on your World Entities, then explore them in a visual map. You can see how people, places, factions, and other parts of your Realm fit together.
  • Search and Command Palette: Use Ctrl + K or Cmd + K to find content quickly and jump straight to important actions. Realm-wide search considers more than one relevance signal, so the loudest goblin does not always show up first.
  • Conversations with the Keeper: Your AI-backed librarian works with the recorded knowledge of your Realm and remains an optional feature.

And much ... much more. In short, Chronicle Keeper is here to help you find the red thread in your Realm, even if the group decided to ignore the actual plot a year ago.

Changed

  • Registration is now open. Create an account in the browser, start your first Realm, and get going – you do not need an invitation anymore.
  • The Free package makes it easy to start. After registration, you can use Chronicle Keeper's non-AI features for free. The Keeper and other AI features are enabled separately.
  • AI access is available on request through Discord. Chronicle Keeper is a personal hobby project, and AI use has ongoing costs. Just message me on Discord; in exchange for feedback and real experiences, we can usually make it work.

Fixes

  • The full rebuild smooths out many small rough edges in content management, navigation, and search. Not a dramatic dragon fight, but exactly the kind of work that makes a long chronicle nicer to use.

A few notes

  • Your role-playing world is waiting. Give it a try, help make Chronicle Keeper better with your feedback, and follow the changelog or blog for what comes next.
